He was absolutely astonished when the strange English bloke with the broad Midlands accent came back with

Had to switch to a Reuters YouTube stream but after 7 minutes it froze and the quality quickly degraded (not my end, theirs)

That's the thing with Chasing Midnight you have to have a backup incase a stream fails or a channel doesn't show it or all of it.

My biggest regret this year is not being able to see Taipei's display
