It's started again !!!

Was watching the Ultimate Pool, the only thing I watch, on 28.2E, when I noticed, during a break, that there was Christmas music, and a dedicated Christmas movie channel, and +1, already broadcasting.

How long before Christmas starts in September?

I like Christmas, but having worked in the retail section, for a number of years, in my younger days, we had to start thinking about Christmas, at the end of September, beginning of August, to begin orders, configure displays, start Christmas clubs, etc, but to start bombarding Children, and parents, in early October, before Halloween, and Bonfire night, seems a bit ridiculous.

Christmas can be a very stressful time, for a lot of people, and to start the "I want this", so early seems just wrong.

At least the Christmas advertisements haven't started yet, I hope!

The xmas channel rebrands started weeks ago so yes xmas does actually start in early September now....

When I had a corner shop (in Middlesborough), we had to order Xmas cards with a supplier in January. Here in France, shops tend not to promote Xmas until after Halloween.

Are there enough Christmas movies to last from September to the end of December?
I checked the online guide, for Great Christmas, and I didn't recognize any of the films.

I also checked on the radio stations, and at least one is now playing, Heart Xmas, probably 24/7.

Ultimate Pool Championships, on TNT Sports, they've already played the Singles championship, and now are finishing the pairs event.
