David Liddle said:LOL! it was the actual owner of the house (who lived here before we moved in) who took it, when we rang the estate agent they got in touch and they said it was a booster, it just so happened I had one and hooked it up and nothing, so bought a internal aerial with booster on it and got me 4 channels.

Terryl said:If the first pre-amp in line is not working or not getting DC power it will act as a very big attenuator and you wont get much even with a second amp on the line, look at the power supply Satelliteman posted, connect it up and the amp (if its still in good shape) should work as expected.
