Another shard of the mosaic. I have completed an article with a sample program for handling the buttons on the EPS-103 unit and controlling the motors. Those interested in examining the original EGIS positioner control unit can find details here.

I read your text on modifying the original EPS203 program. i have done a lot of reverse-engineering in the past. moreover
i am expecting an egis set shortly. I could certainly participate a little.
I have your circuit diagram but do you have the values of the components the resistors are not indicated.

To be honest, I personally don't care much for the original EGIS EPS-103 control unit.
I have no further information on the values of the components in the diagram.

Some time ago I was contacted by people asking me questions about the EPS-103.
I wanted to help them, so I expanded my website.
But after my articles were published, they didn't hear back.
It seems that rewriting the names of the satellites is enough for them. They probably don't want to go into major modifications.
EPS-203 = engines
EPS-103 = control unit

I supplemented my HW version 1.0 positioner design with an external control module for two servo motors. I use one servomotor to control the CSP 1210 C polarizer. I also tried to control the Corotor Chaparral. Everything works with a 17 m long cable. With the aforementioned servomotors of an older design, it is annoying that the control signal must be present on the data wire for the entire time the motor is moving. Details can be found in the article here.

For those who have started building HW1.0, I have posted a control program written in Python. This is Ver.1.3.3. In the "SW Python" menu you will find a user guide and a general description of how to set up the Raspberry Pi to run a program in Python. I will use the same concept for the newer version HW2.1.
