That Q-Final list to-date, makes me smile: Germany, Argentina and US (as in England, not the yanks).

Can't say I am at all pleased with with the possibility of us going up against Portugal.

this might be controversial but..........

i not so sure that gerrard and lampard can play in the same team.

i think it upsets the balance and we have too alter too many things to accomodate this
i think carragher or carrick in front of back 4, cole and beckam wide..ish, gerrard(my choice) or lampard centre, rooney just behind long tall sally(although i would have taken bent or dafoe instead of walcott

Couldn't agree more, think Lampard needs to give way to Carrick for a better balance to the side if Sven plays 4-4-2, as today the goal threat was not there playing 4-5-1.
If will are going to struggle to score against Ecuador, it does not bode well against either Holland or Portugal.
Also Rooney needs a front man with him, so get Longfellow up front with him.

Just one other thing is that before the competition started the paper's were saying that England had about eight world class players in the side.
Think after the last four England matches the figure is nearer two (Rooney and Ashley Cole) and neither of them could be called match fit.

Think England have gone as far as they can, but I would love to be proved WRONG!
