I have a Triax multifeed. Do you think I can put the Lnbs so close together so i can connect to Hotbird & Eurobird? The Lnbs are 2 Alps Universal..Smaller then my Titanium...

No I do not think so, isnt that why they make a 3 degree monobloc?, one lnb with built in disecq switch reception from 2 satellites 13 East and 16 East. it may be possible with the alps on a multifeed, why not try it?

It's possible but you'll need to carry out a modification to the offset bracket for improved reception of 16e. This consists of cutting away part of the plastic bracket holder and collar to enable the LNb for 16e to be at focus. A monoblock will also do. :)

He might first try and see if it is possible without modification ---- I can confirm that on the Raven 90cm 13e and 16e are certainly possible with two Alps narrow LNBs without modification; in fact they are similarly possible, without modification, with one narrow LNB and one "regular" LNB.

Thx guys, great news.
Another question..

How far apart from the focus (Hotbird), shall I put the Lnbs for 19,2 & 28.2?

You can only tell this on site when setting up, anything else would be purely guesswork. It would be easier if you were using a meter :)

I've seen a "drawing" somewhere, where the Lnb for 28.2 is like 8-10 cm apart from Hotbird. I just can't find it right now...

I have a small satbeeper, but you have to be sure that you're tuning the right satellite...

You may have but that drawing relates to a particular type, diameter and F/D of that dish and will more than likely be different in most other cases thus could only serve as a very rough guide for getting the lnb on the correct side of the focal one

Hi

Measure the length of the dish arm( L), then calculate

L X tan (9 degrees) that will give you are rough distance apart between the centres of the LNBs. About 9cm should be somewhere around where it needs to go.

Drawing is useful if it belongs to a nearby place. Distance is proportional to the dish size. 3 inches more for 8feet than 6 feet's one.
