Ive just been looking at the 26E frequency usage

If SES put all the remaining Eutelsat freqs on the UK spot that would allow them to use that band for the Astra 2E Middle Eastern beam with little danger of interference to any of the Badr transponders broadcasting into the same area. The only potential issue is 11227V on Badr 5

Also Arabsat 5A at 30E isnt using this band so theres no problems there either.

Anyone got a spare ICBM in their pocket, to eliminate potential issues?
I thought *I* was bad for advocating the chainsawing of the odd tree that blocks the relevant parts of the sky... :)

With 2G in place I guess she'll no longer be needed for UK spot backup of band D (10.7-10.95), which only 2E can do at the moment.

That was my thinking too, guess they'll shunt her off somewhere like 2E for some inclined SNG duties.

I discovered today that the signal on 11172 H,341,3/4 has increased very much, what makes me think that it is now on a European spot. Before he was on the UK spot. How is in your area?

Thanks for the info, the DreamBox800S-HD tuner works well to SR300 but with modulation standard TV or radio, with 16APSK no longer blocks.

spectrum scan from today:
10920_11200_13_06_2015_klo_12_00.png
and with scan that shows 2F euro beam 11428H.
10920_11700_13_06_2015_klo_12_53.png
So these 11062-11172H are higher than 2F euro, so why is that, or are these now on 2C actually?
and from 17th february (11062-11172H appeared strong ):
10700_11700_SPECTRUM.png
and from 12th february (when 11062-11172H signals were not yet seen as high. 11172H still very smaller than 2F UK beam. However there is also 11197H signal, that is same as 2F UK signal level):
Screenshot - 12.02.2015 - 19.53.33.png
and from 12th November 2014 (very very weak 11172H seen, but this is very very smaller than 2F UK beams as seen from this picture, so why is it so low if on 2F UK beam ??? however there is also 11197H signal seen, but lower that 2F UK signal level) :
Screenshot - 12.11.2014 - 23.08.55_suoraan_mikropaasta.png
and from june 2014 (no 11172H... but the 11142-11182V seen ) :
Screenshot - 25.06.2014 - 12.35.45.png
so how are these been always very different levels than 2F UK/2F euro signals here in Finland before february 2015? Or is there some other beams in 2F? Was there two euro beams in 2F? or datasignal in 2E middle east beam?

11428H is still on Eutelsat 28A until the end of the month when it switches to 2E (probably UK spot).

Are you meaning 11428V? As signal level for 11428v is same as eutelsat, but 11428H is same as 2f euro currently.

Both are still on 28A. Not sure 2F can do that frequency.

As far as we know the plan is:
1st June: 11306H, 11306V, 11344H and 11344V transferred from Eutelsat 28A to Astra 2F UK spot.
19th June: 11222H and 11261H will transfer from Eutelsat 28A to Astra 2G. Most likely UK spot. (We're not sure about 11224V and 11260V but I think it's reasonably safe to assume that will transfer to 2G UK spot too)
29th June: 11389H, 11390V, 11426V and 11428H will transfer from Eutelsat 28A to Astra 2E. Most likely UK spot.

And what about the four active D transponders: 11585H, 11604V, 11662H and 11681V?

We dont know at the moment - the broadcast insider who gave us the details over on the DS forum didnt mention them. We think they will change before the end of the month though.

I think they are due to switch once 2G arrives next week. They will move to temporary transponders first and the switch to their proper homes later in the month.

Edit: Oops beaten to it by AS. I think the poster on the other site did mention the D transponders but didn't make it very clear.

We don't know for sure until next week, but I think it looks like they want to keep 11.2-11.45GHz as UK spots.

I would not be surprised if at least one transponder is transferred to a pan-European beam instead of a UK spot one, as while anecdotal hearsay suggests that some stations on E28A were keen* of moving off a pan-euro beam to a UK focused one for rights reasons, some channels might want to remain available for mainland European viewers. Irish TV & Vintage TV are two that spring to mind.

* With this rumour abound, I suspect it might be Sony TV UK that was interested - take the current CSC transponder, change FEC, transfer Sony Movie & Sony Entertainment channels to the newly expanded space, discontinue current FTV transmissions, become available on Freesat & job done.

There will be TP's transferred to the PE beam, certainly some of the E-28A D band type.

Sony TV could transfer to the capacity gained via a FEC change, once done, to where Sony TV +1 now resides. However and for historical reasons, Movies 4 Men 2, now Sony Movies, and Sony TV are uplinked by two different operators so putting these on the same Mux isn't an option - yet!

Some of the UK Asian channels appearing on Astra 4A TP B11 is an interesting move, guess to support ongoing cable headend distribution in Europe where the UK spots no longer reach.
