Good morning dx qwer,

I was inquiring which c band lnb do you use for reception of c band DVB_S2 signals under 8psk on Eutelsat W2a.
I have noted that the local c band lnb under Dvb-s are not able to lock the DVB-s2 signals under 8psk.
I am purchasing 2 Inverto c band Lnb,s which are dvb-s2 compliant. Any info on them.

Yesterday I catched those channels (as TestA5-1......ecc) but the signal is crazy, it goes up and down and I cannot see the channels for long as it disapears and reapears! I am using DM8000, do you think that it is an LNB problem? (I dont remember the LNB I use, it is an old but good 17K and I also use a polarotor which is setted with the old echostar 8700, so I have normally a good reception of circular polarisations)

Hello Voreios,

maybe your LNB doesn`t works fine at this frequency? For circular polarisation I would prefer an AV-COMM Waveguide, which works very good!

LNB is ok with circular as I have (on prime focus dish) separate feedhorn, dielectrical plate and mechanical polarotor for C band (handled by the old but good echostar 8700)
Thought yesterday the signal was better and stable and I only had very sporadic dropouts (I think about external interference maybe). Channels were viewable correctly

Setanta Africa with SID 1 / PMT 67 / V 66 / A 47 / PCR 66
Trace TV with SID 2 / PMT 46 / V 45 / A 44 / PCR 45

EDIT: Polarity on 3939 is circular right. Sorry!

Edgar, Thank you for updating us. Many of my African friends are having problem with this particular tp.Either it is not locked. And if locked no channel came up on scan. One even reported no Audio and/or Video on some of the channels. Is it true for you? What receiver are you using to lock this signal? I do not have DVB-S2 receiver yet to verify this.

Hello patmos,

at beginning from activities on 3928 R, audio was transmitted in AAC (Screenshot Nr.1), video always in MPEG-4. AAC sound is no problem for my Vantage 8000HD receiver.

Now audio is transmitted in regular MPEG (Screenshot Nr.2) and it should be no problem for each DVB-S2 receiver, as my Clarke Tech 5000 HD Combo Plus (CTCP) (Screenshot Nr.3).

I also use SkyStar HD2 (PC-card), smart MX92 (and Humax 1000-PR).

Signal is not very strong. I get 70% on CTCP. For stable pictures it needs 66%. So you can see, only +4% with 366cm dish.

Can any one confirm is still ebu feeds there at 3865 R with Sr 13333 and fec 5/6 if yes please let me know whether the feeds are available 24hrs .
I want to confirm it b coz as it is mpeg 2 dvb s format it will be easy to track the sat. after tuning i can check it with dvb s2 rex

I confirm still receiving it here in Mauritius. The three channels have eurovision test card. Once I watched NBA TV on one of it.
