I've been trying hard to get my new dish up, but starting to run out of alternatives, so I hope you don't mind me asking a total off topic question here;
1. Is it legal to re-distribute FTA channels via Internet ?
2. Are there any known legal providers of FTA channels via Internet? I'd be happy to pay for it,,

Yes I am aware that you can find some channels this way, while some channels are very low quality, and others are geoblocked.
If I am going to use IPTV, I'd prefer just loading a m3u file into my Kodi or similar.
Another reason I prefer satellite in favor of IPTV is the fact that no one knows what you are watching. Without going into further details or ending up very off-topic, there could be reasons to trying to avoid sharing such information.

And regarding free VPN's.. yes everybody talk about them.. And how do you know that the VPN provider doesn't decide to sell your watching / browsing history to someone..?

So to get back to satellite-topic.. I think I have gone through all possible sats that I can point my dish to.. I'll probably just have to wait for some new channels..

The Russian packages are FTA; only you need a receiver or device that knows the T2-MI format. If you have a dvb card, receiving them will be easier.

If you want to receive Russian channels at all costs, considering the political-military conditions in Eastern Europe, especially, alas, Big Brother, then I recommend you try C-band at 40.0E. The signal is strong enough to receive Russian channels without problems with a 1.8m antenna.
The Russian packages are FTA; only you need a receiver or device that knows the T2-MI format. If you have a dvb card, receiving them will be easier.

I think that buying a new satellite dish is probably not worth it for pacmyc

Kartina are a legitimate German company as far as I cant tell. Have a look at this:

TV Corner have been selling Kartina equipment for several years. Just be aware that with the current political situation anything can happen with external access to Russian TV.

What you need first is a good lawyer in Stockholm to explain to you Swedish laws. The lawyer can send a formal inquiry to the Russian channels (Первый & Россия1) if they receive money from Kartina company to distribute their content in Sweden.
From my point of view, if you send money to Kartina which does not comply with the laws in the EU, you become complicit in the illegal actions of this company.
Since you are so afraid to use a free VPN you would better stay away from Kartina and all others like it.

Actually, Ursula has no juridiction to write laws that restricts which information I am allowed to receive. However, EU is recommending to block anything linked to the Russian state. But still this is not Swedish law. Furthermore freedom of speach and the right to read anything you want is a right that is constitutional law in Sweden. So it is not illegal to watch, nor pay, for services that Ursula wants to block. There are even swedish internet providers that do not block certain web services. But I didnt want this thread to turn into a legal, nor political discussion. I just want to watch tv from whatever country I want to, without having big brother hanging over my shoulders. So lets keep it a technical discussion. But thanks for all suggestions and tips so far!
