I tried last night at 2am on my TM-5200 and got a lock of 56% quality on the AD Sports transponder in relatively clear skies but still with some breakup. Sadly, this didn't last till morning and at some point during the night, I lost signal totally and it has yet to return.

I just scanned in 7W via my PC card, and as of 19.40, I am getting signal from the following 7W transponders:

10719V (DVB-S2)
10853H
10872V
10891H
10921V
11227V
11257H
11295H
11315V
11353V
11391V
11430V
11526H
11602H
11641H
12168V
12188H
12245V (JSC Sports)
12322V (all channels are nameless though)
12341H
12360V
12417H
12476V

At the current time, with my PC card, the AD Sports mux is just below lock but I am sure my Technomate would lock it right now, but with a very broken up picture.

Right now quality on these trabnsponders is pretty poor with around half probably watchable (10719, 10853, 10921, 11257, 11295, 11315, 11391, 11602, 11641). The rest break up sporadically or too much for reliable viewing.

Well I'm in the process of rigging up my TD110 again, so should be able to provide some relevant comparisons soon as you're using a nominal 1m and are within spitting distance of my QTH.

Just for info and for anyone else who might be able to receive AD Sports 2, they are carrying the GP2 race live.

The Black Ultra has been deployed on my 80cm and I'm using an old Inverto on the TD110.

Not too bothered by the AD Sports stuff as there's still decent F1 coverage elsewhere.

If it all gets too difficult I shall take the path of least resistance and forgo watching live altogether.

I did experiment with AD Sports because it was FTA in HD and as yet I can't find a way of making my new HD+ card work in the VU+. Having viewed the race yesterday I could see no discernable difference between their HD and SD transmissions.

It does work. You need the SCAM 3.60 cam, and heres it working as proof.

For some reason I can't get my VU+ to delete Scam 3.59 and install 3.60........but obviously I need to have another look at it.......must be the "dreadful software"....

Better than for me. It's been just below lock all day for me. Going by past experience, I'll be able to lock onto it around midnight, have a reasonable picture but with some breakup till 4am and it'll be gone by daybreak :(

EDIT: Just tried now (22.00) and have, according to the Technomate, 54-56% quality, but it's breaking up badly :(

Yes, I'm watching that - It really is odd that Auntie relinquished half the Races due to cost yet seem to be chucking resources at F1 coverage regardless.

I guess they got a pot of £££ for giving up the exclusivity and, as they send a crew anyway, may as well make the most of those they still have full rights to

Just a gentle heads up for those not at work tomorrow Thursday, it is Free Practice 1 & 2 at Monaco beginning at 8.30am on whichever medium you use to watch FP sessions assuming you do

I have watched the Monaco Grand Prix on AD Sports 2 and I'm quite satisfied, even if I can't understand Arabic.

1) They always use the world feed, and then I can view the post-qualifying/post-race interview.

2)The commentator stays quiet when there is an onboard camera, and then I can hear the sound of the engines :)
