Hi friends ..
Just to get this fact clear in my own mind ..I'd appreciate some feedback..

Since I'm working with constructing a feed assembly at the correct distance for my old dish ..I'm just wondering if I have this correct ..
Nost PF dishes come with a mount plate for the lnb which I assume is set back from the focus so that the lnb (lnbf) protrudes forward of this ..and thus can be adjusted so that the lip of the waveguide is positioned at the exact fd...
The choke is the placed around the wavegide/feed and adjusted for maximunm signal quality ..
A simple question ..
..is the waveguide forward lip placed at the focus ...or the choke ...
I assume the former ...but happy to be corrected ..
I know its a basic question ...but when building from scratch its nice to know the correct method ..
