It's 4 transponders per box, not 4 channels, so depending on your HD/SD selections, you can easily get 20 channels out of one CompactMax unit. I am running 3 of them and generating 53 channels at the moment, 31 x English, 22 x French, all on the logical channels numbers I choose.

Very interesting!

Not sure if this would be possible, as it depends on how you feed the units with H/V low/high - but if you swapped 10936V on 28.2°E for 10714H you could have Film4, E4 and More 4+1 instead of Film4+1, E4+1 and More4, one fewer channel in its +1 version. Probably doesn't make much difference though anyway :D

Do these units transmodulate to DVB-T2 as well as DVB-T? That does sound a nice bit of kit!

Yes DVB-T2 :)

The units are fed off a multi-switch and you can remote into them via a Web UI to update frequencies and transponders as you suggest.

And actually I'm using 10936V for that group of channels. E4 is encrypted whereas E4+1 is not.

Indeed a thoroughly awesome piece of kit. Been rock solid for 2 years.

The trickiest parts were getting hold of a Fransat Pro cam (I needed 3 of them), not easy to find. These are capable of 8 simultaneous decodes with the appropriate Fransat Pro card, which are also tricky to source.
