Global shipping company 'on holiday' until Tuesday

So get this. I wanted to send a parcel through Fed Ex from the UK to America.

I went through their lengthy shipping info, what's in the parcel, its weight, size of parcel, blah, blah blah.

At the end I paid with credit card and waited for my custom documents to print off.

'Sorry, we were unable to give you a link for your documents...something wrong with the shipping address.'

Looked fine to me...oh, hang on, I missed the '0' off the end of the zip code. That's all. So I thought I'd go back into my account and update the shipment address and then I'll be able to get my documents printed.

No, I couldn't. Account did not allow me to do this. So I rang them and got a message that said, they were on holiday until Tuesday. Back in the office at 9am.

9am? THAT LATE.

This is Fed-Ex isn't it. A global shipping company who SHOULD BE 24/7???? Whose UK offices are closed until Tuesday????

What a farce. 2016??? More like 1996. Jeez.

Have you tried to email the HQ in the states? Tell them of your dissatisfaction.

Chronopost (Chronicpost)...who would prefer not to deliver to your home address despite handling a parcel ordered via Amazon Prime...record thus far two weeks plus to deliver....and don't even get me started on how they 'load' their vans..

Give UPS or DHL a try.
I get my orders from Amazon through Amazon Global who use I-Parcel as a courier.
They were acquired by UPS last year.

DHL did have some issue with sending out detail by email late last week (server upgrade ). It could be this has impacted on other courier companies.
