When i was in tenerif last year and watching canal+ channels in the hotel bar I thought Id do some snooping, asked the bar man and he knew nothing. But spoke to the friendly English manager of the hotel. I explained that I was heavery in to satellite, he put me onto a general manager who delt with TV. A drink or 2 later my findings were,
A local bussines supplys the hotels with cards for all the common packages that are hacked in the UK (genuin or not, not sure ). If the card went off they called him up 10mins later he would be round on a bike to sort it. I asked "but sky sports was on yersterday". His reply "im english and have a genuin subsciption in the UK!" He rembered analogue being hacked but said it never lasted long, so use a genuin card then.
Oh and my mates though I was mad, were on holiday to drink lots and try to pull birds and theres me chating about satellite to some random bloke!!!
