And here is a couple more pics. I think the second picture is some kind of readout? Maybe dish position? :-respekt

2nd pic shows a display window - so it's almost certainly a "Supreme" version.!

And, to add to what Channel Hopper wrote, at the time (mid 2019) when I bought my 2nd Superior version , it was widely rumoured that many of the "Alsat Dark Motors" were actually clones - which would make some sense in the context of the Alsat guy having ceased trading some years prior to that.

That sticker is definitely skewed.

Never had a supreme motor but I could exchange for a fully functual superior (just the motor , the brackets you can keep), if you cover the courier fees both ways.

So.....is the motor I have here good, bad, or indifferent? I've always used Technomate ones.

We’ll spec’d, quick, quiet, metal geared.

People preferred these because they performed better out at fringe sats on the arc compared to the TM’s.

For the price you paid it’s a bargain.

Does it work properly though?

That's the big question! I have not tried it yet but don't see any reason why it shouldn't. IF it works, then I will have a bargain and this will be my first Alsat motor.

I think I would class it as an "average to good" motor, providing it does work properly under DiSEqc/USALS signals, and you don't put too large/heavy a dish on it (personally I would now limit the size to about 1m) - and specifically does not suffer from the problem I had with mine which refused to move correctly, if at all, when fed with DiSEqc or USALS signals from the receiver I used at the time (which was, IIRC, an Icecrypt STC3250CCIHD).

The seller (VuPlus UK in Colindale, N. London) told me over the phone that some of these Supreme motors did have similar problems and then swopped it for a Superior version which worked OK when fed with the same signals.

Majority of people went with the TM2600 at the time.

I am very tempted by your offer, Sir!

That certainly seems to have been true here with the Superior motor under the 1.m Gibby - Still reliably goes to 53E (limited by adjacent houses) and 44W (or it should do after it get's reset - which I can't do ATM because of the disabilities issues), and all sats in between.
