Has Showcase Gone From Freesat?

HI ALL

Can't seem to find Showcase on Freesat Guide. Has it gone? Re-scanned three boxes and it's the same story. Strange. Can someone confirm please?

Just looked on my You View app on the phone, the channel is still showing, but it says 'No Information Available' on the guide. So yes, it may have gone.

Thought so. It's still there on Sky 261 as I checked it on the bedroom Sky box and it shows a guide to what's on. Oh well.

Showcase is on 11223 H 27500 there is currently an add break showing The Shop Channel UK.

Another Forum shows it as having been removed from Freesat 402 yesterday.

So, it's still broadcasting, but now off-EPG. Mode change required, if you're desperate ................

Thanks for raising it: Reminded me to do a carp removal exercise on my Freesat boxes!

Well it is blue today, hence the quiet no doubt, far better than recent shades of grey

Showcase changes to "Keep it country" on Monday 25th Jan. So removed from EPG a few days early. Showcase +1 is broadcasting FTA at present off both freesat's and Sky's EPGs on
11597 V 22000 5/6 DVB-S/MPEG-2 - labelled 53598

Keep it Country will be launching on Freesat, presumably in the music genre after all the ex-Information TV/Showcase contractual programming has been removed from it, which currently runs until the end of February.

Watching showcase now, 261 on sky epg, still branded as showcase but pushing the new KIC channel.

Great if you like videos along the line of " my lovely horse" from father ted!

To no-ones surprise I guess the viewing figures for Keep It Country are terrible.

Accarding to BARB last weeks highest rated show got viewing figures of 18000, the 10th highest rated show was just 9000.

Daily reach is a pitiful 43000.

I knew that would be the kiss of death for that channel

Information / Showcase are an incubation company - they provide the epg slots for small operators who fancy a go at digital tv. They also broker epg slots from the industry from the steady turnover of closed channels. Showcase is just their holding channel which regularly gets turned into something else as a channels plans reach maturity.

Showcase will no doubt turn up again on a different epg slot at some point soon.

Meanwhile, over on the Keep It Country Facebook page, they are claiming that their viewing figures are climbing higher and higher. Figures higher than some Sky Sports figures are being claimed!
