Heavily pixelated premium 1-5 16E

Hi guys, got my supersport card yesterday and left it in over night to activate, woke up this morning to a heavily pixelated premium 1-5 where i couldnt even work out the picture, the soud is very distorted and intermittent. Is this an allignment issue? I can receive the digitalb channels fine, just not supersport. Even though i only paid for supersport.

Which leads me onto....have they sent me the wrong card, but then would i get an image at all on supersport if it wasnt activated??? Cheers guys

No idea about the channel plans I'm afraid, but if you can see the film channels but not the sport, it may be the wrong card.

A 1m dish should produce booming signals for all on that satellite, check your LNB Skew if it is a fixed dish, if it is motorised, try nudging the dish with the receiver controls to see if you can improve reception.

i can see the sport, just its an utter rubbish picture, signal strength is 80%, quality is 73%

Utter rubbish = heavily blocked / pixelated but you can recgognise the score in the corner.

Strange, have you tried a different EMU in the Dreambox?

the dreambox went bust a few weeks ago. Now using the old gbsat2ci0 with an official conax cam

Is it a motorised dish?

yes, its a motorised setup

Have you tried nudging the dish with the motor controls?

ust been on the roof, now have 84% signal strength and 79-82% signal squality. Just rescanned all the channels, all scanned fine, just heavily blocked / pixalated on the 11449 transponder on 16e

That should be more than enough for good reception, so it can only really be the CAM/Receiver or Card.

Have you got the fec set right for that frequency - its different to the others?

11449H 27500 7/8

7/8 also means its less tolerant of dish or lnb misalignment.

Try adjusting the skew (twist) of the lnb a few mm at a time.

in a different satellite forum other people are reporting the same sort of thing. Was fine for them yesterday and today is blocking / pixelated and is unwatchable. I will try the lnb arm if the problem persists, ut if it were that would i get such a high quality and strength??? Cheers guys, great help here

Reports from other forums say the same things, that problems on the SuperSport channels were being experienced earlier this morning.

People on the forums are now reporting that the breakup has now stopped thou - has yours cleared up now?

My supplier said that it hasnt been activated and he has done so this morning. But if it wasnt activated then how have i got the free 20 day trial on digitalb and any picture at all on supersport?? Cheers guys

digitalb sport channels been working fine for me all day so far

picture quality is very good

mine is still the same as this morning. Could it be a problem with the card and the conax cam i am using? Theres nothing to say no access or anything, just a very distorted and blocky picture.
