Clearly I have rubbed someone the wrong way. The initial enthusiasm that I was greeted with appears to have vanished! Ahh well ..

Not at all I can only assist you with Non -Linux receivers in the Technomate range as I am not familiar with Technomate Linux satellite receivers,

If you are unable to understand after reading the guides I suggest you contact the seller & either ask for a refund explaining why or ask for an exchange to a non Linux receiver such as the TM5402HD M3,

I hope this helps you.

Present hurdle is getting HellasSat 3 on list of channels as this is my satellite of interest any help appreciated. I believe need to download suitable plugin not sure how yet.

I wouldn't bother yet with any plugins, or even the particular satellite name, just get the position correct first.

Which protocol are you using to move the dish ?

It isn't.

It's just unfamiliar, until one gets to grips with it. Not difficult - just different.

Indeed - anyone with a Linux box will tell you that there are many times they wanted to take a big hammer to it! :D

They can be very rewarding boxes if you stick with them, but frustrating as hell at times as well.

Oh I see,
Well hopefully someone will give you a work around for this if not you can contact the seller as they are a sponsor on this site & ask for an exchange to a Non-Linux box.

I can assist you in all aspects of the TM5402HD series.

I don't believe that is actually the case, or if the preprogrammed list does fill the memory, which is unlikely, you'll be able to edit the parameters of them to match those of the new satellite.

Just how many satellites are pre-programmed in the database ?

Hi all, well managed to set up the TM Nano, at least to receive HellasSat 3 and have RIKSAT, RIK 1,2,3,and 4 as well as ERT World the Greek channel.
Now the real learning starts. May I say a big thank you to everyone here who have been very generous with their time, and help.

ERT packages have left 39 east FlySat Hellas Sat 2/3 @ 39° East

ERT is still available @ 3.1 east FlySat Eutelsat 3B @ 3.1° East

Further changes are expected over the next few days when the full transfer of Ku band transponders from Hellas Sat-2 move to Hellas Sat-3,
All European transponders will move to 12100 to 12750 in the Ku Band,
Current European transponders between 10950 to 11200 will cease on these frequencies & transferred to the higher European frequencies on Hellas Sat-3.
