:confused

Morning,

No idea what's going on here. It's been fine for a year but I can no longer change satellites. There's no noise from the motor when moving from a channel on one satellite to another. I can see a green light on the bottom.

If I use the Satellite Positioner menu > Tune > Predefined Transponder, and then Search East/West it does move, I get a good lock and I can then watchthe channels in my bouquets. So does that suggest it's the receiver or the motor?

I'm using USALS, 2200 motor, original DM800, BH v12

Cheers for any advice!

Have you tried the reset button on the motor, or using the Goto 0 command from the reciever. One or the other usually solves the problem.

Ok, check USALs info on the tuner configuration screen.

Send to reference/zero. You may need to reset the motor itself via the 'reset' pin under the motor body.

I would go for the belt and braces approach, just to be sure.

Send to reference then go outside and reset using the hole in the motor. Then unplug your receiver from the mains for at least 10 seconds. Hopefully it will be back to normal after that.

I regularly (usually once a month) unplug my receiver from the mains for a short while to prevent this sort of thing happening.

Thanks everyone.

So, Goto 0, reset the motor, power off the receiver for a while....

Hmmm, now to find a 30ft paperclip....

Well done . do I take it you abandoned the search for a 30ft paperclip and used a standard paperclip temporarily extended by the cunning use of a ladder?

Good news. :)

It would have been awful to waste money unnecessarily on a new motor.
