You need to avoid using harsh detergents that might affect the face of the dish and avoid scratching the surface. Scratches hold muck, moss, rain water, ice and snow. Muck makes a very good base for the snow to accumulate on.
If you avoid using paper towels or brushes you should avoid scratching the surface.
Most things should slide off a dish face without scratches but muck will seem to stick like glue no matter what you do.
Don't forget to clean the LNB cap. The amount of attenuating muck that accumulates is scary.
What I used to use was a very soft cotton cloth or a soft microfibre cloth made for glass and liquid soap flakes as they are gentle but highly effective.
What I use today is a soft microfibre noodle mitt used for cleaning cars (over a rubber glove) and the Dri-Pak liquid soap flakes in hand warm water. Make sure there are no stones or grit in the mitt. Start and end the cleaning with a good rinsing from the hose.
