HUMAX HDCI-2000 thread

I've a scan problem and need help to add more than one sat.

My configuration:
- Dish 1 (1.20m) - LNB One (Diseq A) - Astra 19.2E (96% quality)
- Dish 1 (1.20m) - LNB Two (Diseq - Hotbird 13E (82% quality)
- Dish 1 (1.20m) - LNB Three (Diseq D) - Eutelsat W2 16E (62% quality)
- Dish 2 (40cm) - Only one LNB (Diseq C) - Hispasat 30W ((87% quality)

I do the following:
- reset to default settings
- add astra to diseqA
- add hotbird to diseqB
- add hispasat to diseqC
- add eutelsat W2 to diseqD
- scan

Now, the system only find hispasat channels.

Another error is: I've signal in sirius sat, but if I do a scan in this sat I only see the same hispasat channels. Very strange.

Mybe my system have a wrong channel list. What I made wrong?

Where I find an updated channel list?

Which channel list are you using now? Check the Diseqc allocation in the list to make sure you have the correct Diseqcs matching your satellites.

Maybe your Diseqc switch is not working and defaulting to diseqc A (Astra) and you are finding Astra channels using the same TP frequencies as those on Hispasat.

This would explain why you get a quality signal on Sirius, which also has similar frequencies on some TP's to Astra, even though you don't have Sirius on your Diseqc switch.

Mybe my problem is the HDCI 2000 tuner. What you think?

Well framas, it does seem like your Humax is either not sending the switching signals to the switch, or your switch isn't receiving them. How far away is your Diseqc switch from your Humax?

Approximately 130 ft (40m)

On any channels you can receive, can your receiver switch the LNB between high and low transponders? (any channel over 11.7GHz). Just to confirm that you're sending the basic 22kHz signal to the LNB.

Possible I suppose. The middle cable section is carrying the two signals, maybe some interference happening there.

Llew, last night I connected the disecq directly to receiver, and the problem is the same. 'O'-red

it does seem to be a receiver problem then, as you have matched the Diseqc ports to your satellites.

I can only suggest trying another STB if you can borrow one, to confirm that it is definitely the Humax that is at fault.

As I said before, you will get a quality reading when choosing Sirius because you are finding TP's with the same frequencies on Sirius as those on the satellite you are receiving through the Diseqc port you are 'stuck' on.

I need a hard reset to factory defaults.

Doesn't the reset option work as described in the manual?

I would guess the problem is a hardware one. Only check I would do is with an oscilloscope at the LNB input to see if the receiver is outputting the 22kHz switching pulses.

For example, if I'm watching a Hispasat channel and change to an astra channel, I loose the signal. 'O'-red

Seems like you have a problem with your multi-LNB dish. Was this set up before you had the Humax, and if so, was it aligned and working OK then?
