Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Predicted landfall, St Pete's.

Maybe that'll "dampen" some of the political "shenanigans" going on around there when they have to call for Federal aid to help the state recover.

Else confirmed as the first hurricane to make landfall in over 90 years.

It's going to be another busy season.

Henri is interesting, not for being the first one in thirty years, but how it will rebound and turn East towards the UK.

For those looking forward to the bank holiday, take umbrellas.

I have friends in Long Island that live right in the path of the oncoming storm,(at the beach) they say all the lumber yards and hardware stores are completely sold out of plywood or OSB of any type. They were scared that they would loose all the windows facing the ocean. I said get some metal corrugated roofing panels they will work the same, use a skill saw with a metal cutting blade to cut to fit.

Hurricane Ida is expected to make a direct hit on New Orleans this weekend. Hope their flood defences are a bit better than when Katrina hit 15 years or so back.

Katrina came in from the east, skirting Florida before turning north

Ida will lose a lot of steam crossing Cuba.
