@RustySpoons long time, no see! Welcome back :)
Thank you, I haven't been active at all as I haven't been feeling well.
I was put on about 5 tablets to try and sort one thing and all the different side effects and interactions just made everything worse!
So gradually got off them all and starting again from a baseline with my consultant.

I wish you all the best with treatment. Some of my old Military Service injuries are currently coming back to bite me.

As someone once said, "Life's a swine and then you die"

ONLY FIVE tablets! - Lucky bugger! Think I'm nearer double that if I include the non-prescription ones!

Anyway, great to have you back! :D

Update

I'now got the pair of Knipex cutters and they seem quite reasonable - given that I've not been able to do much with them in the last couple of weeks

I also bought a pair of "ENGINEER PZ-57" "screw removal pliers" which I had hoped would help remove a "difficult" screw (couldn't tighten it far enough) in the frame of a pair of specs - but, even though this is the pair in the range with the smallest jaws, I couldn't get a grip on it to turn it, but finally managed to get it out and replace it with anothe screw using a very narrow screwdriver. Anyway, took those pliers down the garage and ground the outsides of the jaws down a bit, and so hope they'll work better in future.

BTW: all the above was delayed because the pain in my left shoulder got to "screaming point" about 2 weeks ago and I finished up on morphine 4x daily, and then a steroid shot in the shoulder 3 days ago because the (private :( ) consultant confirmed that I have a damaged/torn "rotator cuff". Now less pain and can just about use a keyboard again - but can't lift my left arm above shoulder height (and even that's difficult/painful).
