Having seen this satellite once before, I think you'll be better watching online via RÚV's website which is in HD. The version on Thor 0.8°W is a very blurry 544x576 sub-standard SD picture.
Your best solution would be someone in Iceland recording it from RÚV HD via DVB-T2 or MMDS. You're probably as likely to find someone to do that as you are to find someone who has access to the satellite feed!
