Yes, could be: Likely culprit would be the motor end of the cable between LNB and Motor as the connector can be loosened as the dish moves one way, but won't re-tighten as it returns.

If it is that, once corrected, strap that cable to a fixed part of the mount so that the connector can no longer become a pivot point.

I doubt it, as the angles still dont look right, as though the whole dish and motor have swung round some ten degrees or so on the wall bracket.

I did not include the receiver as part of my assessment, only the outdoor kit. As Tivu mentions the wall mount is the first thing to check for stability, but next comes the quality of the motor (and the metal used on the locking clamps), and the overall rigidity of the system to withstand buffeting.

A T+K above the front door isn't going to look neat, but neither are workmen realigning every couple of months if the equipment isn't up to a minimum standard.

Hello everyone,

I forgot to mention, maybe it will take us one step closer to the solution that the signal of the channel is constantly jumping up and down between some point and zero. It wasn`t anything like that before.

Even I try to turn my dish to 28.2 degree to watch BBC etc. channels there is no signal for the channel. Due to I don`t have the right satellite finder I tried to turn to the right position (if I did well I am nit quite sure about it) by hand I can`t find the 28.2 degree sat position.

So I don`t know what should I do right now? Do I have to install a brand new system (dish, LNB, motor on it)?
Any answer welcome.
Thanks guys.

Zero means the LNB is not connected (Intermittently) - check the F connector at the Motor end of the Motor to LNB cable, as advised in my earlier Post.

With a proper connection to the LNB you'll get a "Signal Strength" reading wherever the dish is pointing.

I doubt you'll require anything more than a bit of maintenance, and possibly get that bracket replaced by a pair of T&Ks.

Tivu,

I do share your idea about the signal strength but it makes me confuse a bit that when I tried to connect the LNB with my dreambox it still doesn`t show any value on it. Just keep jumping up and down. Interesting...
I did checked the F connectors (all of them box, LNB, motor) but everything is remain the same, no signal.

Since you are able to reach the dish safely, have a go at wrenching the motor by hand to check it is tight on the bracket. If it moves any amount you know the clamps are not doing their job correctly, but at least then you can try a manual adjustment of the polar angle to get things back on track. You can't do any damage, and it would kill 30 minutes of boredom by not having any pictures.

Ok , how did you check the connectors ?
If you can take the connectors off the cable and make sure everything is ok .
You also said you moved the dish by hand , get a proper installer in , it's probably best to do the whole thing from scratch , just need a couple of brackets and a pole .

Hi guys,
First I checked by hand and tried a manual adjustment of the polar angle to get things back on track but still no signal.

When I last time watched the channels and switched off my box and switched back on my motorized started to turn back to the 19.2 degree automatically and didn`t picked up any signal, so I tried to turn to a different position and test is there any problem with a different channel or just this position is wrong. Turn to the thor and switched off and back on again started to turn the motor back to 19.2 degree again.

After I used a different box (it was a freesat box) to checked maybe my dreambox is wrong, same experience: no or very weak signal (up and jump like it was before) on my box.

I also tried if I connect my box without my motor, direct from box to LNB same as above.
Finally the reason why I started to write to here to find someone who can help to have a look and fix it. :-)

Sorry, you are still too far away from here for a service call. Fuel alone is going to be the best part of £30
