check the lnb settings on the receiver - I was at a house today where the previous renters had messed around with the box, and changed just about everything... and the lnb settings was not 10600, but 10750, so sly news was not found on 12207, but something like 12460...
set them back, and sly news then appears on 12207 just like it should..

Very sly response, probably the cause, the Topfield has about 40 totally ludicrous txp´s in the list which just couldn´t exist. Doesn´t explain the 102 though!

Woborny, figure you could be right. Blindscan showed nothing either, have done factory reset and now blindscan just to be sure, but figure someone had played with settings on both boxes. Either way, left both working with all normal channels, albeit showing incorrect frequencies!

Factory reset and blindscan complete, all as normal. How strange, two molested boxes on the same day!

A normal day for some of us!!!
People just like to play with settings thinking they know what they are doing....and they hardly ever admit it is them - "it just went funny"

Funny adaptation of funny!

PS, glad I work down south, if you get molestations every day!

Change to FEC 5/6. Lots of transponder changes on 28E.

Any thoughts on that, other than making it harder for us in " fringe areas " ?
Another way for broadcasters to save money by squeezing in more channels into fewer transponders at the expense of reception. Since both ITV and Sky have now used new FECs it can only be a matter of time before others are tempted to try and get some extra bandwidth for themselves.

Found this old girl yesterday, when I replaced her for a brand new triax 80, to receive TV Vlaanderen.
She is the same size as a Fam LH110, but twice the weight, much more wind resilient and for free. Will test her against the LH110 I have on the roof when I can, but already know who will win.

I no longer know who will win! Had a very sudden " squall " the other night which picked the dish up and slammed it into the garden wall, completely shattering the lnb holder. Not sure if I have one with the same vector which will make the whole test meaningless:( Will keep looking.

Had to fit a 2.4m dish today, managed it with the help of the owner who was given it for free when a neighbour moved out. Bloody heavy things, had a job to lift it up onto the floor mount! Looked good though, once up:-buttkick

Got called to a job today by a very upset client. He had a system installed by Norton´s last Thursday, that went wrong Thursday night. He has tried to call them since, but cannot get through.

Turns out the stb they put in has failed within 6 hours. Re-installed his old Bigsat stb to give service, didn´t take a note of the name of the new box, not one I´ve heard of before.

Did have to take some pics of this quality installation!

Like the pole brackets, not, and no sign of the rubber spacers for the dish face to mount. Doomed to fail in the next high wind!

I can't believe that's a professional job - the method of pole fixing is bad enough but then only to use one bolt per bracket and then the one at the weakest point at that!! and even where there is clearly a hole for a second! - its beyond comprehension with only one screw per bracket. As you say, looks like easy wind fodder to me. I assume he actually paid for that!!!!

There are actually two bolts into the wall on each of the brackets, they are slightly obscured by the u bolt ends. Either way, I would never fit a 1.37cm dish with brackets designed for a 30 - 35mm pole for a terrestrial antenna.

Yep! He paid for that, but after my advice, he´s going to their office tomorrow.

Using the installation as a cover when you were really after a pic of the neighbour on his sunbed (last pic!) :-)
