After wondering for a while now (they appeared on the listings for Intelsat 903 on Lyngsat etc, but have never been on there since the change to 35e), I've finally tracked down the transponder listing for Intelsat 35e for the Caribbean beam with CanalSat Caraïbes, Orange Caraïbes and France Télévisions Outre Mer on it.

Think this site is a Latin American version of the likes of Flysat -

Is the C-band side of the Global beam reachable in the SE England? I wonder if it's possible with a 180cm dish.

When this stormy weather eases in a day or two i will look with 2.4 cm up here in the north west and give you an idea of signal strengths.
are there any particular transponders you would like checking ?

Likewise but in my situation the larger Precision reflector is just awaiting the C-Band LNB from last week. It will be the first thing that goes on the front end (that, and some drier weather).

Iv'e had a look in the last half hour but didn't have much luck due also to the high winds blowing the dish about - in fact it's time to crank it down as it's getting stronger

Nothing in particular but I wanted to try to get a C-band LNB on the dish as it's currently parked on 34.5w and see if it worked before moving it to 40.5w or 55.5w.

Also, I couple of weeks ago, whilst doing a scan from 60e to 34.5w, I managed to see the channels on 4132 R listed on the found list even though I was using a Ku-band LNB.

O.k. ..
The C band l.n.b,s on my 2.4 Channel master are offset (either side of the k/u l.n.b.) so any results i get will be quite similar to that of a 1.8 dish ...

I've been playing around with it and got it at 5.8db. I'm sure there's some tuning that needs to be done but very happy so far.

Fortunately the signal on the two transponders with TV packets(4126 L-AFN & 4133 R-MTN) can also lock at 4dB,because they have accessible parameters, qpsk, fec of 1/2 and 2/3,which can also be received with ordinary devices and relatively small antennas for C-band in my area, mine is 150cm.

11468 H 14974 5/6 DVB-S data stream

Not sure why this one flew under my radar for so long - Flysat lists this TP as carrying "TDT-Channels (Spain)" - anyone got any further details on this, e.g. is there something like a single data PID carrying around 20Mbps of data, and is it even still active?

Just before I rummage around for an LNB and some cable ties to lash something up to try on my 30°W dish. :D

Adam, it's still there s/r=14970 on 11469H. Contains data of some sort. Sounds like a challenge for you.

We have streams(pids 1600 & 1620) on 11466 H. You can download the .ts file from here that I have recorded on this transponder.

Thanks for that file, I've had a look using Wireshark. It's DVB-IP, but unfortunately the protocol is ESP (Encapsulating Security Protocol) which is apparently an encrypted transfer system used in VPNs, so it's actually encrypted IP traffic for a private network being carried on this transponder unfortunately. :(

There are loads of signals on this and other satellites just marked DATA but can any of them produce anything useful for us all??

A lot of them are just private network links for various purposes, of little interest to anyone else.

Some of them contain more interesting data, like the new ones on 5°W 11461H with French DAB multiplexes in IP format, and of course the data transponders on 30°W where the data actually contains all of the Spanish terrestrial channels.

Think there’s a couple of mobile TV providers on a couple of satellites using a similar IP format for TV channels in low-ish quality too. They tend to be Russian if I remember rightly.

The Televisa channels are now gone, having moved to 9E, meaning there are no longer any standard TV channels available on the KU band receivable in Europe.
