NTA International now transmitted also in LZ from NE zone beam.

3898 L 2894 3/4 channel name NW program (SID 1 / PMT 32 / V 512 / A 650 / PCR 128 / ONID 1 / TID 1). Signal with 4,4dB and 32% on Openbox X-810 and 366cm.

PS: 3898 R signal active with 6,5dB and 50%.

signal from KNR TV on Intelsat 907 @27,5°W is too low for 150cm. But I´m realy sure that signal on Intelsat 903 @34,5°W should be good for 150cm.

Today I have a 120 cm Channel Master, a Panorama 13K LNBF and a waveguide for AV-COMM together with a offset feedhord from satshop24.de.
I can not get KNR from 34,5W, but my dish is too small maybe.
What do you think of the other components, the LNBF, offset feedhorn and waveguide ?
Can you recommend a good dish 150 cm or 180 cm ?
Is it better with an offset together with the waveguide from AV-COMM, or is it better with a prime focus with dielectricum ?

120Cm dish for 34,5 W is definitly small for 34,5W!

For C band reception I recomand you the prim focus.I receive at my QTH the KNR with a 150cm PFA dish and dielectricum .Dielecticum scheme you found in members setup. "DoktorOfSat Setup" topic and here at "Dielectric plate" topic.

AV-COM is very expensive...

You can use a single polarity lnb from this bird 'cause all the tp are in L !I tested a few days ago an Inverto single for C Band and works very well

With a 150cm dish you can receive RTI and KNR only.The 180cm is littel for a the "MCA Nigeria " pachage

Hello keld,

you can use PFA or Offset with the waveguide from AV-COMM. It´s the best for circular transmissions. I would say, more bigger the dish, more better for C-Band! If you can use 180cm, than make 180cm! Also I will prefer PFA more than an Offset dish.

I'm wondering by one thing, I can receive Record Africa from 27,5W 4048R SR 7000 on my 1,2 m dish.
Is this transponder much stronger than the other transponders on 27,5 W and 34,5W ?
By the way, I will order a 1,8 meter prime focus dish and use it with my AV-COMM waveguide, Panorama LNBF and the feed from the panorama.

1,8m PFA with AV-COMM waveguide and Panorama LNBF is ok!

In deed, the signal is very different on each frequency for example on 27,5°W.

Only one example: 4048 R and 4082 R with same FEC 3/4. In this case, there are two different beams. And 4082 R on Global beam is hard to get with dishes <3,00m.

Hi again,

I have now installed a 180 cm PFA Dish from Digistar (used).
LNBF is Panorama
Feed is Panorama
Conversion from cikular to liniar is AC-COMM

On my Smart MX-92 reciever I can get RTI from 34,5 W but not KNR
On my PC (Hauppauge HVR-4000) I can get RTI and KNR.

I think my Smart MX-92 is not good enough.
I consider a new reciever and have looked at the following:
- Openbox F540
- Openbox X-810
- Koscom SDC 3510

I like the feature on the Openbox X-810 wher I can see the signal quality, level and SNR

Can You recommend a good reciever ?
