thanks for that Info
are you using Inverto BU only or modified with Channel Master feedhorn
would you post a pic or two from your channel master 1.8 polar mount
regards
Hi - samoloko -
The one i,m currently using is a standard (unmodified) twin Inverto BU .. i,v used a C120 modifed one in the past
and it worked well in general, until it went weak on both polarities ..... but i,v stopped using the Channel Master feed on the 1.8 recently as i,v noted certain missing frequencies when using it, regardless of the brand of l.n.b. being used ? ... a puzzle i,v not had time to get to the bottom of yet
The polar mount on the 1.8 c.m. is an original one and is the same age as the dish around 25 years ..
i have made a few slight alterations to it over the years .... moved the jack fixing point off centre to get a wider and more stable sweep of the arc ... also added a bar and counterweight and second jack for incline adjustment ...
and more recently an adjustable pressure support for the l.n.b bottom arm, to correct a slight warping of the dish ...
i will post links to some pics - on here later, or take some new ones if i cant find them all here on the forum.
Regards ...
