Considering I can get badr4 in S Wales easily with a 1m dish I would look for that after 28E, that sized dish should find it easily, then some tweaking for badr6. Good luck Gary, and I hope your not having the rain that I am having today, it's chucking it down here!

It doesn't get easier to find a satellite as the dish gets bigger, it gets harder. With a dish like that you have to have the satellite nailed otherwise you won't receive enough signal to get lock even on strong transponders.

lol to true!

Anyway i give up without rolf as the elevation on 28.2e has soooo much play i have no idea where the dish is at, and without a tool to measure it or a meter i really stand NO chance

From memory, I believe the dish surface will be a degree or so above verticle when positioned on Arabsat.

(Just a thought, maybe this new reflector is defective..........)

Working in London this afternoon, but as I mentioned earlier, only one monkey is required to get the offset working, (so Rolf will be fine).

Very please for you, old fruit.

Kudos to Rolf, too, for his efforts.

Sounds very much like the last dish was a lemon.
