ZM400 is an interesting aircraft. Its an Atlas A400M.

Military 4 engine turbo prop with 6 blades on each engine. They make a lovely droning noise when they go over - you can hear them approaching from miles away when the air is still enough

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Very quiet "down here on the ground" as well - at this time of year we normally see/hear a lot of flights in/out of Heathrow (5 miles south of here) at both relatively low and high levels, but yesterday I remember seeing/hearing just one at (probably) around 20-30 thousand feet, flying ESE towards the Continent!

Still get the very occasional Police chopper hunting around at a couple of hundred feet for "someone" though, but even those are now very few and far between - so maybe even those "low-life" types are staying indoors (they'd be "very obvious" if they were around in the absence of almost anyone else)!

Probably out of Brize (where the UK A400M fleet is based) - but where's it going?

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Being in one of my nocturnal states, I heard a few flights overhead through the dark hours, don't know who or what though, but guessing cargo probably, guess you guys need to be up earlier or later to pick them up on the SDR...

A splat today at about 7 pm.Not bad to say that there are very few planes and VRS has only been running on a Raspberry pi 3B+ since the backend of march.

We had a Hercules buzz us at 400 feet this afternoon - it spooked most of the anmals on the farm! I didnt see the bloody thing but I happened to have VRS open on my 2nd monitor so I could see what had just come over making such a racket :-rofl2
