can someone tell me how this motor would be attached to a 1.2 or 1.8m channel master dish?

Would i need to buy the dish face and azel mount or polar mount?

or can the 1224 motor be connected directly to the channel master's dish face?

regards

The 1224 motor attaches to the dish with the addition of an offset adapter plate. There's a fair bit of information on the forum.

Yep, you need neither the polar mount or the az/el mount.

You need the channel master adapter plate and two small brackets to adapt the motor for an offset dish.

That is if you manage to get hold of the 1224 OK.

Here are some pics of the adapter plate and additional brackets that Satelliteman and Robbo have commented on these should make it clearer for you.

I would not trust the 1.8m Channel master on the 1224 way too heavy!

Can handle a 1.8m precision no problems
