Sorry about Reading, I wish they would have stayed up. I think they are a good club because the way they played in the last couple of years, and also the fact that they did not sack their manager at the first sign of trouble. I just hope Steve stays and brings you back up.

So now lets wait and see if we can ram down a few more statements by players and staff down the Chelski throat after the final.

Just one of those things, as often happens, other results go against you. The big problem with going down a division, is that you lose some of your top players, so pretty much have to start from scratch.

Yep, looks like your boy has won it and deservedly so. By the way everybody:

Official final standings will not be confirmed until 24 hours after the final whistle of the final game, so things might change between now and tomorrow. I will be giving out the awards - PL SupaLiga Champions, Manager of the Year, and May Manager of the Month - on Monday evening.

Anyway, how does the champions league work?

To keep things simple for now: the top 5* in PL SupaLiga and Alsat's Fantasy Premier League will qualify to play in the UniSat Champions League next season. The Champions League will be played on the UEFA website. Further details will be given closer to the time, so look out!

* Top 5 players who we have actually identified themselves to us (some of the Alsat top 5 may not have done, depending on how it finished up there), otherwise the places go to the next lowest down. This is also the case if the players don't return next year.

It must be said that Hodgson has done an amazing job to turn it around at Fulham, he must be the most underappreciated English manager out there.

Reading will be back, I'm sure of that, the paracute payments and the shrewd budgeting while in the top league will see them get the cream of the Championship crop.

Is that similar to the one we did last year?

Crumbs, only two of them would have got into our top ten, and non inside the top six.

Have to say that I love the Fantasy Premier League, but wasn't impressed with the UEFA one, as I have no clue about the players and too many are left sitting on the bench, didn't really enjoy it.

Very well done to "the offspring"!! But will the Red Devils do it in Moscow? We have just been celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sir Alex's European Cup Winners' Cup win with Aberdeen (25 years' ago today - I was there!). We would be very pleased for Sir Alex, if he could add yet another major trophy!!!

They will be better next season, this was their first season and it was quite close for a long time in their league so they are probably getting experience with making the important decisions (shame I couldn't learn quicker :-doh!).

I think the main problem was that league we had was just too big*, and so it felt like you couldn't get anywhere, and then it kind of puts a damper on the whole thing.

I'd say that, having done this for as long as we have, that 20 players is more or less the maximum. With there being 10, I reckon/hope that every matchday will see every point matter, and with the 10 being the best player from the 2 league, I hope it's quite competitive. It's for the pride of the forum!

I shall be giving advice in matchday reminders on where to find team/injury info to help everyone, and I think when you get to the knockout stage everyone as a good idea who plays for the big teams (Milan, Inter, Real, Barca etc).

* For anyone wondering what me and rolfw are on about, I ran a UEFA Champions League competition last season (2006/07). I invited the Portuguese members to join and we ended up with 50+ players!!! Needless to say, we had no idea who was who!!!

Once again, the PL SupaLiga title went to the final day, but it was Norm who was defeated on Sunday as S_G, T_G's son, who took the title in style with a score of 76.

In the final standings, S_G's Manchester RED and Norm's Donkeytown were seperated by 28pts, but this hides the fact that the Donkeys were in the lead for the majority of the season, and a magnificant run of Gameweeks since the turn of the year has seen the Mancs become the true challenger to the Donkey's supremacy. It is an amazing fact that Manchester RED were sitting in 12th at the start of December.

Norm is no longer the holder of the two SupaLiga crowns!

In 3rd are Satellite Screwballs. rolfw done an incredible job in turning around a poor start of the season to equal his 2006/07 showing, having ended November in a lowly placing of 13th - evidently not unlucky after all!

Still not impressed? Satellites RED, T_G's team, started November in 18th place! Must have been taking advice from the Manc's manager :p

The other issue to be decided on Sunday was the final Champions League place. My team, Dynamo Sol, were looking to either Satellites RED or Screwballs to slip up, but the slender hope that remained came not from them two teams, but the one placed just above - Toontastic.

Leading the league after Gameweek 30, which at time Dynamo trailed Donkeytown by only 19pts, malcolm was now gripping on to a Champions League place by his finger tips, but I could not do enough. And so my team, 2nd at the start of the year, are the biggest losers of all :-doh!.

S_G, Norm and rolfw - I will PM you very soon with your award badges!

Go on chicken, 18th to 4th, that must be worth a special badge :p

Great end to the year, congrats to junior! I tought him all of course and let him win :p
One thing is for sure, next year there won't be me starting at 18th place in November, I will make sure to be a bit more attentive. As this is the firt time I am doing it I made a few mistakes, for instance I tried to keep away from players my son was using (we had a bit of banter here at home), so players like Lescott which he had I could not use..next year though there won't be any favours! :-Nooo

Well, if you can transfer this competitive spirit into the Champions League, I can't wait to see this rivalry go Europe-wide!

I've just called William Hill - junior is odds on for next season :p

:-rofl2 You snoop! That is actually a DOWNSIZED version of the origianal! I put it on the image hosting site quite big so that it wouldn't lose any of it's quality, but obviously it is meant to be reduced much further.

Thanks Salty25 for all your hard work with the Fantasy League again this season.

I organized a league between family and friends (21 teams) and it is difficult to keep everyone happy and interested throughout the whole season, especially those at or near the bottom!

Looking forward to next seasons competition and venturing into Europe.

Thanks again,

Toontastic

No probs Malc, and well done on getting into the Champions League ( and beating me to it!) :p.

Actually, this is a good opportunity to say to all those who qualified for the UCL that details will be PM'd to you as and when they become available, so don't worry until you hear from me on that one.

Look out for the Euro 2008 compo as well, which will be coming very soon!

I Echo the thanks, you did a sterling job and made the whole contest really interesting. :)

Leave me out of the Champions' League though Salty, didn't enjoy the last one, so that gives the next person down the chance. ;)

PS. Just goes to show that you can't make a mistake for even a minute, that badge was only up there for a minute or so and somebody spotted it. :)
