Qualifying results from Bahrain -

I very much enjoyed the new qualifying format, which I felt gave a great insight into team confidence in the top teams, particularly Renault who left it too late to record reasonable times in the final, and deciding, session. Kimi again appears to be suffering reliablity problems, Jenson done well to get in third, Toro Rosso looks suspiciously quick in their modded V10's, Webber showed the Williams outfit are still up for a fight, but the star of the show was Schumi... his back and ready for a fight!
However, as a little side note, the fastest man from all three qualifying sessions was Alonso, although this fast time was in one of the two earlier knockout sessions. Not much can be read at present with regards to car performance, simply because we have no idea what the team tactics are in terms of fuel load!
In term of our SupaLiga, qualifying is of no consequence unfortunately, which I feel is wrong when you consider the following rule, for obvious reasons:
Drivers - Movement in race
Move up from grid position*:
1 pt per position gained (up to a max of 5pts)
Move down from grid position:
Minus 1 pt
Driver Unclassified ** or fails to start race:
Minus 2 pts
* Must finish in top 10 race positions
** Fails to complete 90% of race distance
As they say, I don't make up the rules, I just chair the league!
