Simply a sign of the times, JSTV will close this October after over 30 years of satellite broadcasting.

Oh that's a shame. Even though I never watched it, it was a nostalgic reminder of the better times...

I watched the FTA broadcasts occasionally. But like many others, if I want a fix of Japanese TV it's not difficult to find online.

It was expected. There isn't a large Japanese community in Europe and the service was pretty expensive for 2 channels... £35 p/m.

I had a subscription back in 2010 and cancelled it as it was not worth it.

Aparently, NHK will broadcast something like NHK Premium to Europe put who knows how much and when

Interesting that they're closing their OTT service as well.
