unfortunately I have the walled 2.5-inch pole
and for the moment I do not want to replace it
so I decided to make a small clone
the disc is a gibertini of 150
in the future something bigger
regards

The declination motor might be OK for the 1.5m, but since it is always in 'stretch' mode, I would not expect it to last with a 2.7m Laminas reflector on the front.

good evening
after a year I took my KTI h180 proform out of the box to do some empty tests
I made some current measurements to know the power used by the motor, with my instrument (amperometric clamp for continuous currents) I read a value of about 0.85 Ampere over the entire polar arc, could someone here make similar measurements?
in this way I can understand if my engine works well !!
it has never been used with a parable
just a quick test with a prodellin then dismantled everything and put it back in the box
thank you

1 Amp or less is very good. Just bolt it to the dish and try moving across the arc.

good evening today I did some tests first empty then with a weight placed in front and a counterweight placed behind I have optimized the current consumption over the entire polar arc now I have an absorption ranging from 0.48 to 0.70 mA in the photo you can see a weight that simulates the weight of a parabola of about 15 KG

I'm always waiting for someone who can measure with a similar engine to make a comparison thank you

Counterweights are always the third best way to go.

Always reduce weight front and rear , second best.

Retaining rigidity for the parabola is #1.

motor absorption 0.50 A

I don't like the black color of the KTI, today I paint it all in white, I really like this color

Bravo ! Down to the last few grammes as well.

That is how a proper satellite mount should function.

(saving the environment, one step at time).

after three years of waiting and testing I finally replaced my old smr 1224 system with declination motor and feed rotor with my new satellite system
laminas 180 and Kti hh proform, with declination motor
