Is there a security issues using a Bluetooth handset, as they can work in the range up to about 15 meters and perhaps anyone in the vicinity, even living next apartment can listen in to my conversations using any Bluetooth headset?
Your friend probably has the handset with a cable that has 3.5mm plug that connects to his mobile, as these work best with iPhones but not with Android and inherently are more secure than Bluetooth.
