I have a friend wanting a Linux box, must be have hard drive recording available and able to run CCcam. Just wondered what the options were really. I myself have a DM800 however he is not interested in HD right now. Cheaper the better really as he would like to buy 3.

TM600s are great but make sure he knows they only accept USB hard drives, they do have an internal USB port but it still has to be a USB hard drive, or IDE HDD with a USB adapter etc.
