I'm not as optomistic as some. I fully expected United to win at home, but I thought they would have created more chances. Fletcher's goal was a fluke, he was trying to send the ball back into the box. which had no united player in it. It is disturbing how Chelsea took United apart in the second half. The last thing that needs to happed if for them all to start thinking how magnificant they now are.

a better performance all round yesterday ... though still not full speed ahead ... win the game in hand and we are 7 points behind ... all not lost maybe ....
You are discounting Wigan then?

2nd game in the last 2 years I missed, had to go to an Anniversary dinner. My brother in law phone me to gloat, told him where to stick his mouth. Anyway its better that Chelsea dropped a few points , makes it more interesting as if we got to Chrestmas leading by 12 0r 15 points I would say it was over. So come on Wigan, Isnt it great to see them up there.

Might get them to pull their socks up a bit.
That first half performance was woeful. Second half was more like us. Unlucky to have been beaten by an unintentional goal, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
I think we should play Guddy more. He was a key role in us winning the PL last season. Just behind the forwards seems to be his spot. He has great vision, ability to control the ball at close quarters and makes great runs. Made a world of difference when he came on yesterday.

I still think the gap is too big at this moment. First team is a match for anyone, but squad is too thin. All I can hope that maybe we get lucky, Chelsea discover how difficult it is to hold on to the title, develop some nerves...there is no denying that Mouhrino is a good coach, but then football has this voodoo thing where just when you think everything is great it kicks you in the teeth. Would make it interesting if it was a close contest, I agree. And one thing I must say as well: The game was played hard, tackles were flying and both sides competed but it was never like it is with Arsenal games...no Pizza, no rounding on Ruud, no whingeing afterwards. Strange isn't it?

they played better, i was impressed with smith for once.... we really needed that win for confidence reasons more than anything.

just hope its not a flash in the pan, we have Charton next hope we can play well then too.

i think Ruud needs dropping for a while, give Rossi a chance. Ruud is playing very poorly at the moment.

... and now we have to wait two weeks before we can watch any decent football again. :(

They should let Chelsea play in the World Cup/warm-up internationals, then we would definitely win it :)

I think that Man U are still a decent team, and I would have Heinze, Neville, Rooney and Ronaldo at Chelsea. You can stick Drogba, Robben, Crespo and Glen Johnson up your bum.

If you can't play for the privilege of wearing the shirt the following week, then **** off.

I think Alan Smith was the best player on the pitch last weekend. What a change. Bet he can't do it next match though, which is a shame.

And that, plus £7.5 billion is the difference between us at the moment. Doesn't mean to say that will always be the case, but both quality and confidence will always count and Chelsea have heaps of both at the moment.

Double bonus's all round!

I also see that Liverpool may soon get a huge injection of cash from the States, which will condemn the Arse into fourth-place runners.

"Anyone who loses 3 matches in a row should resign". A quote by the special one.

So, if Chelski lose to the barcodes next game, it will be bye bye to Mourhino.:-splat
