First of all you need to determine if you have a good arc. Tweak the alignment on your due South satellite. Drive to the far end of the arc and spring the dish to see if you have any improvement, adjust accordingly.

Also, check and re-check that the F connectors are properly made off and securely tightened.

If you aren't judicious enough, the cable from the motor to the LNB can

a. Get snagged up in bolts/bracketry

b. Gradually slacken, at the motor end, as the result of repeated large movements of the dish (It need to be tied to the pole a few inches away from the motor connection in order to deny it the ability to act as a fulcrum .. as you track one way it tends to want to unscrew, but when you track back the other way, it won't re-tighten owing to the cable's of rigidity (Like pushing string ..........)

Spent hours running a 45 meter cable to my room with practically bare hands...poor me.
And finally it seemed I could get about as much as what I got when using a short test to connect the dish and receiver on the roof.

The reason why I decided to go to such great lenths to redo the cabling was the cables and switches I found in the electrical room of my building.
There are 3 large dish, and each comes with a quto-lnb. For the cable connected to each port of a lnb, a "4 way power divider" is used to separate one cable into four! (local arab technician said no good, no good). Then each three cables that comes from the 4 way dividers go to our receivers via "4 in and 1 out switches"...
I think this was why I ran into those problems.

I have another question, guys. Sorry for being this bothersome.
With my 1m motorized dish, I cannot get Astra 2.
But there are 3 large dishes(being able to receive Eurobrid 1 and Astra 2) not far away from my dish, which I'm free to use except that their octo-LNBs are full.
So can I attach an additional LNB to one of the octo-LNBs and run a cable from it and connect with my 45m cable by using some kind of diseqc switch?
Is this possible?
