Box arrived,
I went for 2 dvb-s2 tuner will send for the dvb c/t2 tuner at a later date tuners are plug/play, software is still in the making so expecting it buggy but good support, will keep this thread up to date as and when I find time to play with it, its got some weight to it that's usually a good sign.

How you finding this receiver blade?

TBH ive hardly used it, main reason I bought it is to use when I make the move from sky, anyhow they offered us 60 percent discount for 12 months contract free so I took it was paying nearly £90 now paying £33 ish.

Anyhow the little time I have played with it using the image it came with, its a great box very responsive, just wish it had blind scan, in the near future I will connect it up the tbs card and see how it goes,

Take a look on the image making forums for a better review, ive not seen any major problems more positive responses against receivers 2/3 times the price of this,

Someone posted a link to s2x tuners for the box, I sent a email last night regarding purchasing one will report back when they contact me.

I recently bought this receiver with 2x S2X tuners. I must say that I am pretty impressed with it. It's lightning fast (OpenATV image for now), tuners work with multistream stuff out of the box and they are very sensitive.

Doing simple comparisons with F15, this locks the signal and even shows a broken picture way before F15 even thinks about locking... A great improvement on Solo2 (and cheaper!).

It looks like a very good receiver. I see one retailer is doing it for £155 with twin tuners plus delivery and another with twin tuners for £135. Money must be getting tight at those prices. I am tempted but where do you stop?

Are the drivers sorted out yet? Was taking forever to obtain lock after moving the dish from one sat to another.

BTW, why the OpenATV image?

Can anyone try if the plugin OpenMultiboot works on a usb stick on OpenATV images? I repeat the OpenMultiboot, not the integrated one (which allows up to 4 images in the flash)!

Now that you mention it, it does take a while to lock on just-landed sats. So I guess the bug is still there.

And why not OpenATV? We all have our preferences for various reasons...

Is there more information on this issue?

First noticed in May 2017. Reported to Mutant by OpenViX image team in July 2017 but so far no new drivers have included a fix. Older drivers used to be fine. e.g. older OpenViX images such as 4.2.018 work properly when moving the dish. Maybe those older drivers will work in the current image. Worth a punt.

Edit: the older drivers are not going to be fully compatible with the S2X tuner for sure so forget doing a swap. Send a bug report to Mutant. The more people that send a bug report the greater the chance of a fix.

Thanks, I will send a report to Mutant. The issue isn't terrible enough to warrant sending the receiver back and it's ONLY there when the dish physically moved, and not when flipping between tuners or between different ports on the same tuner.

Can you let me know exactly what needs to be done to test this? I can only find tutorials on booting from multiple images within flash memory.

If you are using OpenATV, OMB will be on the feeds.

So you install that. I can't remember exact procedure. But once install you choose a location. Mine is /media/usb/open-multiboot-upload.

Put an image .zip file in there and tell it to install. Say a copy of OpenPLi and OpenViX. Then when you reboot you will get a menu that allows you to choose which image to boot.

Installed images live in /media/usb/open-multiboot. And the main image says in the flash.

With this plugin it it so easy to switch between images and versions.
