Hi Guys,
My box was working perfectly until I decided to upgrade the firm from 6.35 to 6.36. Unfortunately I chose the wrong MVISION Model (FCIS 9085 NET instead of MV PVR NET).

It loaded the firm but it would not work afterwards. When I turn it on the display says "0123" then "BOOT" and then "----" and stays like that for a while, then it does a loop to "0123"; "BOOT" and "----" again.

I have tried to get into the firm with the MVISIONE+ utils with a null modem but it doesn't recognize the box.

Any ideas??
Thanks

Have you tried going back to the old firmware?

Try the following method:

Connect the receiver to the PC with the button back off.
With the program MvisionE + Utils starting the upgrade and although there is a message that does not find deco, continue the process.
Select upgrade software, select the firm that (preferably an original to the deco) and continue to choose "update of the software."
The mvisionE + Utils show "d000" in the monitor will Err deco. Disconnect and re-connect the deco. And now must update, or another should (these actions to disconnect and connect should be carried out without delay too).
If the first does not succeed, then will be made new attempts.

Thanks Prantona,
I have tried what you said but it doesn't seem to make a difference
1.- I connect the box (switched off)
2.- I open MUtils
3.- I click to upgrade firmware (Message comes saying that it doesn't find the box)
4.- I selected the firmware. Unfortunately I only have the Firmware from Uncle Max, so nothing original (Yes, I know, I should had backed it up).
5.- Turned on the box and click upload
6.- Turned off the box and on again

Unfortunately nothing happens.
Did I do it wrong?

Thanks

Hey Prantona
Thank you for the clue. I found the manufacturer's telephone number and gave them a call. They were really helpful. (Although they only speak spanish!).

I had to use the MVision Tools by Mitega. It was simple from there.

I though I had render my box useless but no, it is working again!!

Thanks guys

Hey!

I made the same mistake, only that I have a MVision 9080 NET Box, but also picked the 9085 NET_COMBO Firmware!!!

Could anyone try to help me how I get my Box back to work again? That would be great!

Hi
Connect the box with a serial cable to the computer. DO NOT USE A USB to serial cable as this will not work (this is where I got stuck).
Use the tools by Mitega you can find this on several sites, even the manufacturer's website. There is an option to reset the box there. It is really easy, a bit of patience will do
