This night, the brightest NLC's I've ever seen!
Even my cheap phone makes a half-decent picture of it.
June 13 was good, but the present night is exceptional, with reports coming from all over Europe.
Below pictures again with my cheap (Alcatel) phone.

As it is only about 10km to the seashore we can often fo there and observe beautiful sunset like it was today. Temperature of water is also OK... good to swim. IMG_20190728_213900 (Large).jpg

We have a starling nest in our eaves just outside the toilet window. It's been occupied continuously (obviously not the same birds!) since we moved in some 36 years ago.

Horse Flies

Vicious little sods, too.

A few years ago a bite on my wrist turned into a bout of cellulitis that spread up my arm towards my torso - needed antibiotics to halt it as it can actually become fatal.

Did not want to show those pictures, but then seen CH post about those who is lucky not having cats. I have one, and he is growing pretty wild. His name is Sirius, and he still have balls. From time to time I've found some kind of remains of birds and warms (that what I thought) everywhere. In reality those "worms" were remains of mice, namely guts of them. And, again, sorry for posting those picks, users with nerves not strong r]enough please do not open thumbnails.
