Hi Huevos ...
yes I'm using a dual lnbf at the moment ..
As part of my new diy tripod assembly ..
I've only ever used lnbfs ....as I have no skew facility on my receivers..
only H/V (L/R+ dielectric plate) switching.

Why would you need it? Doesn't it work fine just like Ku once it is skewed to 0º for due south. And skew shouldn't matter for L/R because you can twist the LNB any old way and it doesn't affect signal level. What am I missing?

BTW I've seen the photos in the other thread but can't really see a lot without some close up shots of the LNB.

Hi Huevos ...
You are absolutely right I don't need skew using an lnbf ..and thats the point really..
I was just answering what I thought was a question posed by your good self ..
I saw 'lnbf for c-band ?' and assumed you where asking ....why I was using one ..

It's just a terminology thing I guess. To me LNBf mean the feedhorn is built in like a cheap Ku LNB. Anyway, not important.

BTW, I've been experimenting with C-band lately too on my 1.5m. It's amazing how much stuff there is even on such a small dish. The hardest thing seems to be the low symbol rates.

Agreed Huevos ..
LSR channels are mighty tricky ...
particularly if the channel you are after is close to another more powerful higher SR channel ...
A good example that springs to mind is Tropical TV on 55W ...close to and overpowered by RTS

Luckilly the openboxS9 can seperate the two channels and lock Tropicals LSR
but my AZbox offered the same signal simply refuses to recognise Tropicals existance..
