My Satellite Setup
1.2M Channel Master, 1224 motor, VU+ Duo 2

I was more intersted to know if the manufacturer recommended a torque setting, for the bottom bracket, as it might tighten, as the motor move East, and loosen as it moves West. I was wondering how loose, or tight, it is supposed to be.

I don't know, but as the bracket is held stationary by the top fixing there is no twisting force on the bottom bracket.

I haven't even looked at the bottom bracket - I just left it as it was supplied already put together.

This is how much of 45e I am seeing..... So will move the dish to the left a bit. Though, as you can see, half the dish is still covered by the roof line.

I do.... but I don't want it to be too visible to the neighbours. My goal is to get Azersat @ 46E as I get nothing from there at the moment, so hopefully a move to the right will get it.

It's the wife's attempt to tart the thing up as it's "ugly". Strangely, she prefers this to the Penta 85.... I am not complaining!

Moved the dish - now getting Azerspace! Albeit only 44%/7dB SNR on Vu+ Uno but enough for 11134H transponder.

Strangely though, my C band reception has decreased by quite a bit across the board over the past weeks. One of the culprits was the condensation inside the home made tupperware LNB cap, which pooled inside the feedhorn as well. Cleaned it up and it improved a bit, but only slightly. Need to play with the depolariser plates some more, I think...

Have you tried putting a small hole in the tupperware to allow it to breath? hopefully reducing the condensation.

Didn't think to but wouldn't water get in there? I'll try and tweak it over the weekend and see what I get.

Welp, found that a few branches were in the way of some western satellites, so trimmed those.

Also, the tupperware "cap" was reducing signal by about 0.5dB, which I didn't realise, so done away with that.

Tested pride21's DOS plate and found that it outperformed the self-made T-plate. Also, the biggest gain seems to have been rotating the plate 90 degrees within the LNB throat. I had to swap polarities on the receiver but MGM TP 3716R on 40.5W, for example, went from 5dB to 5.7dB (FS1 reading) just by doing that. Need to rescan a bunch satellites now due to a polarity change but things are looking good and I am seeing channels on 40.5W that I never saw before.
