Hi, just dropped by to learn more about linux based receivers really, but thought id say hello. Got my motorised 80cm working from a bespoke pole today connected to my old Technomate 1500.My house is in a dire position for full arc but its OK. The wifes French so its nice for her to watch a bit of the French tv. Also got a Metronic HD box (not the best) running off my old sky oval. might be able to loop it but never tried.

anyway... good forum!

Hi Guys,

Just joined because the site looks very informative, im a bit of a sat noob and I just got a Technomate 5400 CI super USB with a 1.2m motorised dish for cheap!

Going to use it as a hobby and im going to learn how to set it up this week. I also have a Ipbox 900HD not being used to potential!

Im going to trawl the forums but anyone got any early tips or guides?
