here I am personally known only by RimaNTSS,
Satellite TV / sat dx at home has been my hobby for 20+ years
I studied satellite television at Riga Technical University in the late 80s.
there in the university lab I first saw the ScreenSport channel...
and of course, local Latvian enthusiast WALKET influenced me a lot.
In the Soviet Army in the late 80s. , I served in the radio-relay communications battalion ...
Many parabolas were raised high up to the towers by building communication lines,
as well as on-van parabolas for tropospheric communications lines.
During the army in Lithuania for officers
I built quite a few analog tv antennas
for extra long-distance reception (to watch Polish TV channels from Lithuania)
