No such issues on my Uno and VIX 2.3 image. I think AS is just looking for something to moan about :p

Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

It's not even released yet. Not even an anouncement on Vu+'s own site as to release date. So they are just trying to get customers to commit on a promise.

BTW, last night I loaded the latest VIX image in the Duo and it's got HDMI-CEC, so now getting the tele out of standby and on the correct HDMI source is done just by bringing the Duo out of standby, i.e. just one button press and the STB and TV fire up. :cool:

im glad analoguesat has the same experiences as me!!! i have been using a dreambox 500s and dm7020 from about 2005 to the present day. My setup is a DM7020 with a 80cm dish motorised and a 60cm dish with 1w/13/19/28e on a switch to a Dm500s. After my good experiences with them I decided to purchase a Vu+ Solo to use along side my motorised dish and I been sooo dissapointed. :(

the Vu+ solo has no BER readings on E2 thats crazy what about those of us with motors who like moving the motor left/right for a weak signal on 7w or 4w?. The Vu+ is very slow to do anything and change channel and always green screens.

Im keeping with my DM7020 for use with motorised.

Sadly my Vu+ Solo is going back on ebay i will have to make do without DVB-S2 its not too many channels yet!

Thats at least 3 of us who think the software is hopeless on them :D

I think my Duo's been switched on once in the last month - mainly to update the TNTSat card.

Have been a long time user of E1 on DM7000 and 7020 but I really don't miss many features from it on E2.

VIX mainly - the only one I got along with. Tried Black Hole as I used on the DM800 but it was a sensory overload. VIX is nice and simple (based on OpenPLI - even more minimalistic) and it works.

I'm sure its just the way you've set it up AS :D

I've never had any of those issues with mine, before i sold it that is. Even the BER readings worked. Worst mistake i ever made selling the Vu+, but still i've got my very first DM7020Si box back and i've fell in love with it again :D

As for the IPBox 99HD, they are a very good box indeed, i have had the pleasure of setting one up for a friend, and i'm impressed with it. The software in question can run in either E2 mode or E1 mode but be warned, the IPBox HD units cannot run CCCam due to the processor architecture it uses.

It will however run OSCam and MGCamd or just OSCam on its own with DVBapi. OSCam is a bitch to setup when your new to it.

I'm planning to buy one later on in the year and maybe even a TM800 as i like a challenge :-lmao

Right im running black hole on my vu+solo 1.6.4 - Ive installed the Nemesis Chromeline Colbolt skin for us with CRTs now I get read the OSD :) I dont like the way I cant press the numeric numbers to jump down the channel list oh well :( .

Can anyone tell me how to install the manual addons in Blackhole. Ive put CCcam_2.1.3 in /tmp now i need to find the panel to install it. Any ideas anyone?
