News about Ukraine in non-Slavic languages have lately become few & far between;Hamas is spilling over it.
Here in France we have 4 DTT news channels. One is called LCI, (LCI.fr online) they 've covered Ukraine every single evening (sat & sundays included, not like UK & Germany whose news channels go to sleep on weekends and after midnight)
So,LCI was "Ukraine special" every evening, with Ukrainians,Russians and military from Nato or even ex-Russian guys & ladies . After a few weeks,we knew our geography of the region, and names and performance of every item of military action...weapons,strategy....And also the history behind this. Good thing you find people from everywhere in Paris.
And France 24,interesting,but very Govt oriented.French & English versions.
and TV5 's newsblock,6 to 7 our time (7to8 in Russia/Ukraine) is often good.
Still, since the Hamas operation started,it all vanished. Israel/Palestine took over.
It seems only the German channels(closed on weekends) still follow more or less Ukraine & Russia,on weekdays that is.
Their "teletext" gives a few items of news.
Strange enough isn't it?
