Any Tea should be left to infuse until such time as a spoon will support itself.

I am ignoring, totally and utterly, the jibe about my native tea.

The rumours that it is manufactured using, as a raw material, the dried and chopped detritus left over after the rhubarb harvest are false.

I drink tea every day, from the time I rise until " beer o´clock " , but it has to be tea, I don´t drink perfume or enema´s
Tea should be brewed as 06:00 and left on a low heat until 23:00 , least that´s the way I was brought up, topped up with water as and when required to get the next mug out of it!
Also, you should be able to leave the spoon in a prefect vertical position, without adding the sugar!

Thankyou. You have yet more Tyke points for seconding my spoon comment.

You may book an appointment to be measured for a Flat Cap

You can tell if your Tea is brewed correctly ..
A ...when your teaspoon is covered in thick brown Tanin after being used all day without washing it ..
B ...when your dentist accuses you of being a smoker having given up the woodbines ..
:D

When I worked in the telephone exchange in Winchester, I never washed my mug ( tea mug before you get smart )
Once a week I would clean it with one of those industrial hard paper towels they used to have, came up like new every time.
Top " Chefs " talk of " seasoned pans " I loved my seasoned mug!

Ooh, I remember that. Standard Public Sector issue back in the 60s and 70s.

Shiny, waxy and utterly not absorbent.

Anyway, I don´t have a bath, haven´t taken one for 12 years, if you lived near you´d know that!

I use Best Universal Grit, Grime and Effluent Remover.

(It's the Finest Universal Cleanser Known)

A nod to the late, great Fred Wedlock.

Loved Freds song and anecdotes..
As a yoof I had trouble getting up in the morning having spent most of the night listening to James Stannage on Piccadilly Radio ...playing such stuff ..
Carrot ...Fred ...Harding to name but a few ...
Interspersed with music occasionally ..
Sadly those days are long gone ..
So burger it as Fred would say ...
;)
He once came to our folk club ..and did a set ..
Great bloke ..fond memories.

I actually made it to his private EMail list a couple of years before he died as my tape of Frollicks disintegrated and I contacted him to see if the situation was retrievable. I have, as the result, got two privately produced CDs of his work!

(Frollicks, and Something Old, Something New)

My Student crowd played Frollicks at every opportunity back in the mid 70s.

Stannage! That takes me back. Think I was getting patchy reception in Chester at the time.
